Course Policies
Rate Information
Early Bird rate is available for students who register by the early bird deadlines.
Family rate is available for each family member living in the same household.
Review rate is available to students who have successfully completed the same course or have paid full tuition and received an "Incomplete" status.
Payment Methods
We accept MasterCard, Visa, or Discover.
A $20 fee will be charged for all returned checks.
Payment Plans
Students may sign up when registering for class. The first payment of $75 is due at time of registration with two additional payments due during the course of the class. Payments can be made by calling the Education Registrar at (720) 974-2242 or in class on the dates indicated. Please refer to the Fee schedule for pricing and due dates. A $15 late fee will be charged for payments made after the due date listed on the fee schedule.
Automatic Payments by Credit Card
For your ease and convenience, automatic payments are now available for making your tuition payments. You may request more information during registration Sundays beginning August 7th or call the Education Registrar at (720) 974-2242.
Financial Obligations
Students with outstanding financial obligations to the church for Science of Mind and Spirit (SOMAS) courses will not be able to register.
Late Registration
Registration is closed after the first course session.
Textbooks
Students may purchase textbooks in two ways:
Go to our website at www.milehichurch.org and click on “The Store” and then click “Bookstore“ and you will see a link to the Course Books; (transactions are secure).
In person at the Higher Shelf Bookstore in the Vogt Youth and Education Center.
Length of Courses
Each course is ten weeks long. Workshops and retreats are as scheduled.
SOMAS and Elective Sequence and Requirements
SOMAS 101 is a prerequisite for all other courses.
SOMAS 201 and 301, 401 may be taken in any order.
SOMAS 101 and 201 are prerequisites before taking SOMAS 402, SOMAS 501, Crafting a Magnificent Life and World Religions.
SOMAS 101, 201, and 301 are prerequisites before taking SOMAS 601 or Existential Metapsychiatry.
Students may only take one certificated course at a time.
Course Reviews
Students must have successfully completed the course they would like to review. All course fees must have been paid.
Applying Course Work to the Professional Studies Program to Become a Practitioner
SOMAS 101, 201, 301, 401 or 402, 501, 601 must be completed within the five years preceding enrollment in Practitioner Studies. Courses completed more than five years prior to enrollment must be retaken.

Refund Policy
No refunds will be given after the third session begins.
Refunds will equal tuition paid, minus $25 administrative fee.
To obtain a refund, the student MUST notify the Registrar before the 3rd Class session at 720-974-2242.
No monies are held over for future courses.
Incomplete Courses
All homework and curriculum requirements must be turned in on time in order to complete the course.
Attendance requirements must be met. If there are more than two absences, the course will be considered incomplete.
If all requirements are not completed, and the financial obligations have been met, the student will be given an "Incomplete" status.
To receive credit for a course, students who have received an "Incomplete" status will need to retake the course.
Retake Courses
If financial obligations have been met and the student has received an "Incomplete" status,
the course may be retaken at a discounted rate.
