About the Online Class
When the world seems to be falling apart, the rule is to hang onto your own bliss. It’s that life that survives.
Joseph Campbell, a scholar of mythology, discovered similar themes running through myths of all peoples across the world. As he grew older, he came to believe the same themes run through our own individual lives. Campbell believed we are all heroes and heroines in the great adventure of life and that through learning to follow your bliss, you can fully embody life’s true meaning.
Week One: The Hero’s Journey
Discover the wisdom of Joseph Campbell’s theories about the common principles running through
mythologies and faiths around the world and what they tell us about the meaning of life.
Week Two: Follow Your Bliss
Applying Campbell’s ideas to our own lives, we look at the wisdom that helps us to stay committed to our thriving and doing what we love.
Week Three: Participate Joyfully in the Sorrows of the World
Campbell teaches us that the spiritual warrior says yes to life. We investigate how to bring positive spirit and faith into challenges and transform negation into affirmation, and suffering into compassion.
Week Four: The Master of Two Worlds
The real-life adventure doesn’t end in happily ever after but in the ongoing transformation of our soul and being in service to others. Take the jewels we discover on the spiritual journey back home.
