About the Event
Dr. Andrew Freeman, a vegan cardiologist, will show you a whole new way to think about the food you choose to eat and the various effects it has on you, your body and ultimately—your life.
You will leave with valuable knowledge that will help you make healthier choices to get you on the track to optimum health.
Justina Walls, certified plant-based nutrition specialist and one of the original founders of the Mile Hi Vegetarians group, facilitates a panel of Mile Hi’ers who changed their life by changing their diet.
Applicable to many chronic issues including heart, many cancers, diabetes, obesity, cholesterol, blood pressure and more.

About Dr. Andrew Freeman
Dr. Andrew Freeman is a plant-based and lifestyle-medicine cardiologist who serves as the Director of Clinical Cardiology, the Director of Cardiovascular Prevention and Wellness and is an Associate Professor of Medicine at National Jewish in Denver, CO. His passions are writing, researching and serving with many distinguished medical groups, including heading the Nutrition Committee of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Freeman hosts a monthly Walk with a Doc program in Denver where he volunteers his time to walk with patients on Saturday mornings to teach key health concepts and also to explore using exercise as medicine for the greater good of the public.
About Justina Walls
Justina Walls holds a Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at eCornell. She also successfully completed a cooking course specializing in whole-food, plant-based meal preparation, given by Forks Over Knives and Rouxbe Cooking School. Justina is one of the original founders and leaders of the Mile Hi Vegetarians since its inception in 1998. Vegetarian since 1983 and vegan since 1990, she is devoted to teaching the practical application of plant-based diets.
