Pathway to Becoming a Practitioner at Mile Hi Church
As you deepen your understanding and embodiment of our spiritual teachings through our classes and workshops, you may feel drawn to become a licensed practitioner.
A practitioner is a trained spiritual care provider who offers affirmative prayer and compassionate spiritual support to individuals and the Mile Hi Church community.

Practitioner Training Curriculum
Certificated classes through Centers for Spiritual Living (CSL) serve as the required educational foundation for those who wish to apply for the Professional Practitioner Training Program at Mile Hi.
- To be eligible to apply for practitioner training, students must complete a minimum of six certificated courses within five years.
- Courses (other than Foundations-Beyond Limits) may be taken in any order

Your journey may continue through the Professional Practitioner Training Program, a two-year course of study designed for those who feel called to deepen their spiritual practice and serve others through affirmative prayer.

Advanced Consciousness Studies

The first year focuses on deepening spiritual awareness and embodiment of the teachings through 27 sessions offered across three terms: Fall, Winter, and Spring.
This program supports students in:
Developing greater spiritual awareness
Cultivating compassion for self and others
Learning to see beyond appearances and recognize spiritual truth
Both in-person and online options are available.
Prerequisite: Complete a minimum of six certificated courses within five years.

The Life of the Practitioner
30 Sessions

6 p.m., $800
The second year builds on this foundation and focuses on the consciousness, skills, and responsibilities of a licensed practitioner.
Students deepen their understanding of:
Spiritual principles and the healing process
The role of the practitioner within Mile Hi Church
Service to the community and the world
The second year consists of 30 sessions offered across three terms: Fall, Winter, and Spring.
Prerequisite: Advanced Consciousness Studies (Practitioner I)

Frequently Asked Questions
To become a Practitioner at Mile Hi, candidates must:
- Complete the required multi-year course of study
- Pass a comprehensive written examination
- Successfully complete a background check
- Be approved by an oral panel of ministers and practitioners
Once licensed, practitioners renew their licenses every two years by completing required continuing education and service hours within the church.
Students who have completed the required six prerequisite courses are eligible to apply for the Professional Practitioner Training.
Practitioners support the Mile Hi community in many ways, including:
- Offering affirmative prayer for individuals
- Providing spiritual support during times of challenge or transition
- Participating in prayer ministry following services
- Supporting classes, events, and community activities
- Serving as compassionate listeners and prayer partners
Certificated classes completed at other CSL centers or online will be reviewed for credit transfers to Mile Hi.
